Exploration, Excitement, Experiences

That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. So you have learned to scuba dive, what’s next you ask yourself.  Advanced Open Water certification is the answer that hopefully comes to mind.  Advanced open water courses allow you to select adventure dives that interest you to structure your Advanced Open Water course.  You select dives that interest you, then diving with an instructor you will learn about that diving activity.  Take a look at some of our popular specialty dives we teach.  Be sure to ask your instructor about ‘specialties’ for dives you truly enjoyed.

Get credit! Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.

Rescue Diver

Rescue diver, this class is almost always described as demanding but by far the most rewarding.  Becoming a rescue diver introduces you to the concept of not only being self-aware but also situationally aware.  As rescue divers we now become aware of our buddies and the environment in which we are diving.  If a problem arises we have been trained to handle these problems efficiently and correctly.  Think of the peace of mind you will have when diving with family knowing you can provide the help if needed.

You will need to have a current CPR / First Aid certification by completion of the Rescue course, ask your instructor as we can help you earn those ratings as well.

Master Diver

Master Diver, this is the highest certification a diver can achieve before ‘Going Pro’.  Fewer than 2% of divers ever achieve this rating, which will place you in very elite group.  When you show your PADI Master Scuba Diver card it will show that you have significant experience and scuba training.  The Master Scuba Diver rating is a goal that every diver over the age of 12 should think about.

The path starts with earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification, followed by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certifications). You also need to earn five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and have logged a minimum of 50 dives.
